Just felt like creating a new thread. Maybe we can create a new one per matchday for discussing strategies ahead of the match.
The qualification groups are out and our first game is against the Americans.
Based on the spreadsheet, their points are quite good so far.

Whats the tactic with captains? Are we all captaining the same player or going our own way?
Im thinking of Lukaku(c) but will change for the greater good if need be.

I'm going to Bony> Lukaku (missed Bony's price drop so might as well wait) Would either captain Lukaku or Mahrez, or Vardy if he's fit.

DDG
Kola, VVD, Souare
KDB, Sanchez, Mane, Mahrez, Bolasie
Kane(c), Vardy
McCarthy, Bony, Janmaat, Richards
I am thinking about the following options, leaning towards (a):
(a) go with that team, then maybe do a Bony & Sanchez to Aguero and Ozil (-4) after the deadline.
(b) Do the same move this week for -8.
(c) Bony to Lukaku (-4) this week. Then next GW I could do Kane and Vardy to Kun and Ayoze (-4); Kane and Kola to Kun and Yoshida/Simpson (-4); or Kane and Bolasie to Kun and Drinkwater (-4).

Option B:- -8 is too much against a good team like America unless we can organize it so the player that takes hits is benched for that week. Sorry I have been out of the loop chaps, I tend to take a step back from FPL during international brakes.
My current tactic is to not worry about Kun for the time being and get the strongest team possible for now. He tends to come back slowly and his initial fixtures are mixed. He will always be 2 transfers at most away from getting into my team.
Daas: Those transfers look sound to me. I have heard on FFS of Rojo perhaps at risk of a rest, but not sure of the substance.
Jelly: No transfers. You are strong for this week.
I am waiting for injury news this week, but my current planned transfers are Payet-->Ozil and Bassong-->Soure (For free)
Undecided on captain at moment.
I guess we should get all final teams posted fri night/sat morning so we can make a call who to bench.

That one flew over my head. I like C at least the Bony > Lukaku part but Kane's fixtures look really good too. Still I would to the last one, Kane & Bolasie to Kun & Drinkwater |

Thanks for the advice guys. I think on balance I'll go with (a), because by GW 18 I want both Kun AND Kane (unless injury news makes my team weaker than it looks now).
Raddy, I like your proposed transfers.
Daas, I like the plan that gets you Lukaku this week, then Kun and Dola for Pelle and Ayew the next week.
