I've been following this whole discussion of who's taking hits and who's sitting out, etc. Last time I posted my team, the consensus was stick, not hits. Now, however, I am really worried about Mane not starting, and I now know that Bony won't start. So I'm thinking I might need to take a hit (or more). Here's the team:
DDG
Kola, VVD, Souare
KDB, Sanchez, Mahrez, Mane, Bolasie
Kane(c), Vardy
McCarthy, Bony, Janmaat, Richards
My options:
A. Bony to Lukaku (-4) (makes getting Aguero next week a -4 affair)
B. Bony and Mane to Aguero and King/Albrighton/5.6 (-8)
C. Bony and Sanchez to Aguero and Ozil (-8)
Do you guys still think I should stick with a ruled-out Bony and a tired Mane?

Hey guys guys....sorry for my extremely prolonged absence...Going on a vacation next couple of weeks so work has been crazy. I plan to take hits. Maybe 2. If not, at least 1. Haven't even followed the team news so will have do all that on FFS and then let you know. I will perfectly okay with my decisions are too late and you guys decide to bench me  Sorry that I couldn't help you out in planning this week (Although if any of you still around here in couple of hours, I will be as well)  Regards, Slow Zombie |

Do you guys still think I should stick with a ruled-out Bony and a tired Mane? When the alternative are hits and you got a strong XI, stick IMO B with Lanzini sounds good for -4 next GW. Bony drops tomorrow/ Kun has CL next week. So you might pull the trigger tomorrow for TV, but risk transfer before Kun goes CL |

Yeah, B with Lanzini next week seems OK actually. I could make that same move next week even if I do bring Lukaku in this week. So I'm thinking the real $10,000 question is whether it is worth -4 to bring in Lukaku this GW given that Mane could easily be a 1-pointer this week?

Ideally, I'd like us to take 1-2 hits max as a team. Not sure how realistic that is. |

The issue shouldn't be the number of hits. It should be whether they are good hits, or rebuilding hits. If Bony to Lukaku (-4), for instance, is likely to pay off over playing Mane, then that is not something to worry about.

Thanks Sjaugen. I saw that, and it looked inconclusive. I really want to believe you're right. General sense on FFS is that doubts about Mane's start are reasonable. Really tough call.

Eeek! Just saw the Scout Picks. I have 8, and I'm talking about getting in one Scout Pick so I can bench another! I think it's time to step away from the laptop and just leave things alone. |

Well the scouts have faith in Mane.
I must say, the Dann pick looks really good, alot of love for him on FFS.
